Sandra Nixon served as a Richmond school board trustee for eight years, from 2014 to 2022, including as board chair from 2020 to 2022. A United Church minister and Richmond resident for over 20 years, Sandra is a bridge-builder with a demonstrated commitment to strong, ethical leadership.

She brings extensive experience in fiscal oversight, policy development, advocacy, and community engagement in decision-making. Sandra holds a business degree in finance and accounting.

Sandra is a member of the Richmond Poverty Reduction Coalition and currently serves as president of the board of Granville Gardens Housing Co-op, continuing her long record of community leadership beyond the school board.
